Physiology is the science of normal functions and phenomena of living things. The most important characteristic of living beings is that their processes are controlled — much of Physiology is the study of these control systems. The goal of Physiology is to explain the physical and chemical factors responsible for the origin, development, and progression of life. The course highlights the relevance of basic physiology to clinical practice through use of real clinical examples.
