Bangladesh, one of the most densely populated countries in the world with a population of over
160 million, has developed a unique healthcare system that extends from the Ministry of Health
& Family Welfare (MOH&FW) at the national level to dedicated health assistants working at
the grassroots. However, due to limited resources and uneven budget distribution, healthcare
coverage remains a major challenge across the nation. Recognizing the importance of private
sector participation in healthcare, MH Samorita Hospital & Medical College was established
in 2010 with the approval of the MOH&FW and affiliation from the University of Dhaka.
Since its inception, the institution has been driven by a noble mission, to deliver high-quality
medical education and affordable healthcare services while nurturing the next generation of skilled
and compassionate healthcare professionals.
The college includes both Medical and Dental Units and is complemented by a 500-bedded
modern teaching hospital, equipped with advanced facilities such as ICU, CCU, NICU, HDU,
Dialysis Unit, Cath Lab and CT Scan services. This integration ensures that students receive
hands-on training and practical exposure in a real clinical environment under the supervision of
experienced faculty and specialists.
