Associate Professor, Department of Cardiology
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohammad Faisal Ibn Kabir is an experienced and academically accomplished cardiologist with over 15 years of clinical and academic experience. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of complex cardiovascular diseases with a structured, evidence-based approach. His expertise covers ischemic heart disease, coronary angiogram and stenting, arrhythmias, heart failure, hypertension, valvular and congenital heart diseases, as well as preventive and lifestyle cardiology.
Dr. Kabir has received advanced training in Medicine, Neurology, Cardiology and Cardiovascular Intervention, including a prestigious fellowship in Beijing, China under the Belt & Road Cardiovascular Intervention Training Program. He has authored and co-authored 30 research publications, including original articles in indexed medical journals.
In his academic career, Dr. Kabir has served as Lecturer, Registrar, Specialist and Assistant Professor, before being promoted to Associate Professor at Bangladesh Medical Universtiy (BMU) and later joining MH Samorita Hospital & Medical College in May 2025. He has also worked at Square Hospital, Dhaka and contributed to healthcare innovation through Dhaka University’s Telemedicine Program (DUTP).
He is an active member of multiple professional societies including Bangladesh College of Physicians & Surgeons (BCPS), Association of Physicians of Bangladesh (APB), Bangladesh Cardiac Society (BCS) and Bangladesh Society of Cardiovascular Intervention (BSCI).
