Prof. Dr. Kazi Sohel Iqbal is an accomplished and experienced general surgeon with over two decades of clinical, academic and surgical expertise. Currently serving as Professor (CC) in the Department of Surgery at MH Samorita Hospital & Medical College, he is highly regarded for his surgical precision, clinical judgment and dedication to patient-centered care. His contributions extend beyond the operating theater into medical education, where he has guided undergraduate and postgraduate students, mentored junior surgeons and supervised advanced surgical training programs.

Dr. Iqbal served as Assistant Professor and later Associate Professor of Surgery at Enam Medical College (2007–2017), before joining MH Samorita Hospital & Medical College in 2017 as Professor of Surgery. His surgical expertise spans general, laparoscopic, abdominal and colorectal procedures, with special interest in gastrointestinal surgery, trauma management, and minimally invasive techniques.

In addition to his clinical and teaching roles, Dr. Iqbal has authored several peer-reviewed publications and presented at international surgical conferences. His research contributions include studies on chronic calcific pancreatitis and rare case reports in gastrointestinal and urological surgery. He has attended and contributed to global surgical forums and training programs in Thailand, Indonesia, India and Bangladesh, further enriching his professional expertise.
