Professor & Head of Department of Paediatrics
Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Rouf is a senior and highly esteemed paediatrician with more than 30 years of experience in child health, neonatology and paediatric education. Currently serving as Professor & Head of the Department of Paediatrics at MH Samorita Hospital & Medical College and plays a pivotal role in delivering compassionate care and mentoring future doctors.
Dr. Rouf has joined to Bangaldesh Govt. Service in 1989 through 8th BCS and then worked in different hospitals of home and abroad. He retired from Govt. Service in March, 2022 as Professor & Head of the Department of Paediatrics of Sir Salimullah Medical College & Mitford Hospital, Dhaka. He is known for his diagnostic precision, clinical leadership and patient-friendly approach, especially in managing complex paediatric and neonatal cases.
He is also the Member of European Society of Paediatric Infectious Disease (ESPID),
Mentor for Postgraduate Thesis Work and Examiner of Bangladesh College of Physicians & Surgeons (BCPS), Bangladesh Medical University (BMU) and University of Dhaka.
