Associate Professor, Department of Paediatrics
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gazi Mohammad Imranul Haque is an accomplished child specialist with over 23 years of clinical and academic experience in paediatrics. Currently serving as Associate Professor in the Department of Paediatrics at MH Samorita Hospital & Medical College, he is deeply engaged in teaching, research and comprehensive paediatric care. His expertise spans neonatal medicine, respiratory illness, childhood nutrition, allergy and developmental disorders. He also serves as an Examiner for the Bangladesh College of Physicians & Surgeons (BCPS) in neonatology and paediatrics.
Over his career, Dr. Haque has served in key roles, including Consultant (Paediatrics) at Islami
Bank Hospital, Mirpur, Lecturer at Dhaka Shishu Hospital, Clinical Fellow at ICDDR’B and has worked extensively in NICU & PICU settings at leading hospitals. He also served as Senior Medical Officer at Momotaz Eye Hospital & Child Health Centre, Manikgonj and began his career as a demonstrator at Notre Dame College, Dhaka.
Dr. Haque has enriched his expertise through specialized training in Japan, ICDDR’B and Dhaka Shishu Hospital, alongside multiple national and international workshops on neonatology, critical care, paediatric neurology and child health. His contributions have been recognized through prestigious awards, including the 2014 JSCN International Educational Fellowship (Japan) and a research grant from the Bangladesh Neonatal Forum. Also he has authored and co-authored several national and international publications on neonatal care, child neurology, Kawasaki disease, malnutrition and paediatric infectious diseases.
