Prof. Dr. Saira Khan is a committed paediatrician and academician with over 12 years of clinical and teaching experience, currently serving as an Associate Professor in the Department of Paediatrics at MH Samorita Hospital & Medical College. Dedicated to ensuring the best outcomes for children through her compassion and expertise, she holds a specialization in General Paediatrics (FCPS) and is pursuing advanced subspecialty training in Paediatric Neurology & Development. MBBS from Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) in 2004. She further completed her Diploma in Child Health (DCH) from Dhaka Medical College in 2009, followed by the rigorous FCPS in Paediatrics in 2016. To advance her expertise, she has undertaken a three-year FCPS Subspecialty training in Paediatric Neurology & Development at the National Institute of Neurosciences and Hospital (NINS & H). This extensive background equips her to provide high-quality, evidence-based care in complex paediatric and neurological conditions.
Over the years, Dr. Khan has served in various clinical and academic capacities, gaining wide exposure in both tertiary care and community health settings. Her experience includes serving as an Assistant Professor of Paediatrics at Marks Medical College, a Specialist Physician (Paediatrics) at Dhaka Ahsania Mission and a Medical Officer in Paediatrics and Neonatology at BIRDEM General Hospital. Dr. Khan is wellregarded for her patient-centered approach, clinical precision and active involvement in academic teaching, providing instruction to undergraduate medical (MBBS) and nursing students. She is also an active researcher, having authored and co-authored multiple original articles and case reports published in prominent journals such as the Journal of Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons and Marks Medical Journal.
