Prof. Dr. Md. Sabbir Quadir is a distinguished ophthalmologist with over 34 years of clinical, surgical and academic experience in eye care. Currently serving as Professor & Head of the Department of Ophthalmology at MH Samorita Hospital & Medical College, he is widely recognized for his surgical expertise, leadership and contributions to ophthalmic education.

Over the course of his career, Dr. Quadir has served in several renowned institutions, including Dhaka Medical College Hospital, Mymensingh Medical College Hospital, Sir Salimullah Medical College, Shaheed Monsur Ali Medical College & Hospital and Assir Central Hospital (Saudi Arabia). He has also worked at the National Institute of Ophthalmology, Dhaka.

Beyond his clinical and teaching roles, he has been actively engaged as an examiner and moderator for the Bangladesh College of Physicians & Surgeons (BCPS) and Bangladesh Medical University (BMU). He has authored multiple scientific publications on ophthalmic surgery and ocular disorders and has participated in numerous national and international conferences, workshops and symposia.

Through his long-standing contributions in surgery, teaching and research, Prof. Dr. Quadir has established himself as a respected leader in ophthalmology both in Bangladesh and abroad.
