Dr. Nusrat Jahan Tania is an accomplished and compassionate critical care physician currently serving as Registrar in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at MH Samorita Hospital & Medical College. She plays a vital role in managing critically ill patients, overseeing continuous monitoring, ventilatory support and timely emergency interventions to ensure patient safety and optimal recovery.
With hands-on experience across multiple renowned hospitals in Bangladesh, Dr. Tania has developed expertise in managing complex ICU cases involving respiratory failure, sepsis, postoperative care and neurological emergencies. Before joining MH Samorita, she served as Senior Medical Officer in the Neuro Specialized ICU and HDU at Metropolitan Medical Services Ltd., Mohakhali and later at Japan East West Medical College Hospital as Group In-Charge of the COVID ICU/HDU Wing.
Dr. Tania’s professional background also includes roles in critical and anesthesiology departments at Dhaka Medical College Hospital, Imperial Hospital, Universal Medical College and Hospital, Mother Care Hospital and Community Medical College Hospital, Rangpur. Her fellowship in
Advanced Critical Care Medicine from Apollo Health Education and Research Foundation (Kolkata, India) has further strengthened her clinical decision-making and leadership in intensive care settings.
